innosanto sour cream is tangy and thick, like yogurt. Heavy cream and double cream is just cream that can be whipped, but double cream is a little thicker

Everything was good for me until the lemon part😖 I hate lemon on sweets. I don’t care if I cannot taste it. My sister knows how to make pastries . I tell her if she’s going to send me pastries, please don’t send me the ones with lemons, unless I cannot taste it and I don’t know it has lemon.

I followed this recipe to the letter and the result has close to nothing to what I see in the video. The mixture itself was far far thinner. In the video the top is flat while mine was inflated like a dome. I did not get that colour on top. Very strange. I'm wondering if there's an ingredient they neglected to mention in the video honestly.

+Dan The Man BTW, the cake was very tasty. Regardless of difference in appearance, etc. Although I think next time I'll cut down on the sugar. Was a tad too sweet for me. I also think, potentially, a third tablespoon of cornstarch should deal with the problem.

+Dan The Man I'm not a professional but I have worked in restaurants and am a pretty serious home cook. Plus, forget about the final result where your comment carries more water... the mixture itself (which is nothing more than combining and mixing the listed ingredients) was not even remotely the same. So either they forgot to write an ingredient or they are using very specific brand products. Otherwise it's simply too odd. In the last two years I've followed about 150 Michelin level recipes and had very little (if at all) problems.

+Ayham Huq I don't really know the exact quantity that I reduced the sugar to, since I added it according to taste. I think I used 70-80 gm of sugar, but do taste it as you go. About the 1/4 lemon, I just added 1and a half tbsp of juice.
